Fact is, the city of Detroit has become synonomis with failure. But, what I’m sure most of us don’t realize is that Detroit was once home to some of the most amazing structures in the country. Remarkably and thankfully, most of these structures are still standing and waiting for an unforseen day when they can be brought back to splendor.

This decay has been wonderfully captured by photographers Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre.
