new year, new goals

Monday, January 30th, 2012

I know this post is a bit late, a whole month to be exact but I’ve been trying to regroup this month, decide on my goals for the year, brainstorm on new products,  clean / simplify my house and business stuff like taxes. I thought that I’d share some of my goals for the year as well as some big events from 2011, which will be hard, because it was a great year! Twenty eleven brought me my best craft year yet, a new to me letterpress, my cards in two retail shops (!!!), two trips to Paris and a trip to Harry Potter world, and an entire year of working for myself. It really was a wonderful year and looking I’m looking forward to the great things that 2012 will bring. Without further ado here are some of my 2012 goals; continue creating new products and updating my shop, kick ass at the National Stationery Show (yep I’m showing there as part of the Ladies of Letterpress booth), get my new letterpress in working order (this is tippity top of the list),  participate in more craft shows, redesign fancy seeing you here, get my cards in more retail shops and attend Alt Summit in 2013 (so sad that I couldn’t go this year.) I know it’s a lot but it can and will be done.

happy belated new year to everyone! hope you have some exciting and challenging goals for this year!

The Lobstar

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

Last night I made a run over to Mullen HQ to meet up with my friend Chris Brady. Chris, along with his helpful family, is the creator of The Lobstar. Each Lobstar comes with a personally screen printed box and certificate. I’m happy to say that I’m the proud owner of #93/200. As you can see from the photos below…the Lobstar looks fantastic. I love it.

scenes from the weekend: the type truck at baltimore print studios

Monday, November 7th, 2011

Yesterday I took a trip to Baltimore to check out the type truck at Baltimore Print Studios. The type truck is completely adorable and frankly I’m a little jealous of Kyle. She gets to travel and print—a perfect combination if you ask me. First step was screenprinting a minty layer inside Baltimore Print Studios. Once that dried I letterpressed the hot pink type inside the type truck. See the final product in the second picture below. A beautiful print to remember the experience, mine’s already hanging on the fridge.

Some of my letterpress friends will be selling their awesome goods at booth 123, (and some of mine too!) Hope you all can stop by the fair and buy some crafty stuff!

Have a great weekend!

shop update: fancy birthday card, fill in the blank set and thank yoü cards

Friday, August 5th, 2011

New items in my shop! I’ve been selling these items at local craft shows but hadn’t had the chance to photograph them for the shop, until now. You’ve seen the Fancy birthday card in one of my previous posts. The fill in the blank 3 pack is one of my favorite new items—these cards can be sent to absolutely anyone, you create the message and tone. And lastly, a simple thank yoü 3 pack. Be sure to check out my shop for more images and details about these products!

scenes from artscape

Monday, July 18th, 2011

A few images from our booth at Artscape this past weekend. It was a very busy, hot and exhausting three days, but well worth it—I loved seeing how people responded to our products. I think our Letterpress booth was a big hit, the combination of all our different design styles and products was unique and we truly had something for everyone.
