Beautifully mysterious imagery for The Washington Ballet by Design Army. Those costumes and the styling are just fantastic. I’m pretty upset that I missed this ballet.

I spotted these Inspector Stamps by Mikey Burton on pinterest and think it’s a fresh take on the business card. “With this stamp, you are able to print your condensed snippet of info onto any substrate—a beer mat, someone else’s business card, a napkin, or even someone’s hand. After all, people are more likely to lose a business card in a drunken stupor, but less likely to lose their hand.” How handy is that? Order one for yourself from Cranky Pressman.
Pin ItI’m very excited for the 2012 Pantone color of the year; Tangerine Tango, a spirited energetic reddish orange. It’s much better than last year’s color honeysuckle. And if you’re a fan of Tangerine Tango be sure to check out the Pantone fashion color report for Spring 2012 which includes the fiery orange amongst complementary bright and neutral colors (shown in the second image.) I’m really digging the neutrals in the report, especially Margarita, Cockatoo and Driftwood.
I tweeted about this yesterday but its too cute not to post here too. 400 Costumes to Die For is GS Design‘s 2009 annual self-promotional piece. Just roll the two 20-sided dice to reveal more than 400 morbidly clever costume ideas – from Zombie Elvis and Space Jesus to the truly outré. The dice are packaged in an illustrated tube with rings that rotate to let the recipient create mix-and-match Halloween creatures. The tube is an economical one-color hot stamp on black paper with printed one-color instructions affixed inside the lid. While researching this design I discovered that they created an iphone and ipad app too! Download it for free here. Now you don’t have any excuses not to dress up this year.

Gorgeous traditional, yet modern branding for Nonna Lina ice cream by Mr. Conde Studio. I especially love seeing his process pictures; sketches, wireframes and color scheme inspiration.
Baubauhaus is a great source of endless inspiration for typography, design, illustration and photography.
posters by Zoran Lucic combining two of my loves; design and soccer and featuring some true soccer legends. see the whole collection here.
Seems like all my recent blog finds are typography related, but i can’t help it, there’s some pretty awesome type work being done right now! This post is about The Phraseology Project, a site that lets you submit a letter, word or phrase and they’ll make it look beautiful with type.
