Simple, well-designed type t-shirts from Ugmonk. I think 7 days a week is my favorite because that 7 is just beautiful. And I wish I was wearing the No shirt today…it’s just one of those days.

Just had to share the most comfortable flip flop EVER; Sanuk’s yoga mat sandal. I discovered these in Key West and have since bought an additional pair! And don’t worry they have a men’s version, the beer cozy sandal.

On Saturday I spent the first part of the day thrifting with my friend Alison. We started in Georgetown with visits to Annie Creamcheese and Second Time Around. In Annie Creamcheese there was some really unique jewelry by Monserat de Lucca (Some of our favorites shown above: Western Bracelet, Pac Man Earrings, Measuring Tape Ring.) Our final stop for the day was Unique Thrift Store in Falls Church, VA where we found these fabulous steel chairs for $10 a piece (sorry for the bad phone picture). They are actually more comfortable than you would think AND in great condition. I can’t wait to make some cute cushions for them. I’m disappointed that I wasn’t able to find a suitcase for the vintage suitcase cat bed that I want to make…I guess that will have to wait til next time.

I just had to share this amazing Nike World Cup soccer promo done by Wieden+Kennedy. Watching this video got me soooo utterly excited for the World Cup which happens to be only 20 days 22 hours away (but whos counting.)
My agenda for the weekend: Thrifting for a vintage suitcase to make this super chic cat bed. I’m sure to find plenty more goodies while I’m out—I’ll be sure to share on Monday.
Hope you all have a fabulous and craft-filled weekend!
I’m obsessed with A Fine Frenzy’s album Bomb in a Birdcage. Favorite song so far: Electric Twist. Besides being completely adorable (talk about major girl crush) the lead singer, Alison Sudol, has a dreamy, beautiful voice that truly shines in this fun and whimsical album. I first discovered A Fine Frenzy through an amazing stop motion video that featured Alison (view it here) posted on the Mint design blog.

I had the most wonderful long weekend visiting my good friend ZonaFoto in New York and New Jersey. The weekend started off on Friday with a full day in NYC—Soho shopping, The Impossible Project store and a breathtaking performance by the Sa Dance Company. On Saturday we took a trip to the Jersey shore, Seaside Heights to be exact. It was a lot bright colors, cheesy games, vintage signage, fried food and stuffed animals, no snooki sightings though. On the last day we headed back into the city for a visit to the Lomo store and a couple visits to Kid Robot. All in all, a fantastic, busy, tiring and inspiring weekend…sigh, now back to reality.

COLOURlovers is one of my favorite sites to scope out the most current color trends and I just discovered that they have a blog! The blog covers daily trends, new products and inspiration like Pantone’s Fall 2010 Fashion color report shown below (complete article here.) I’m in love with Lagoon, Woodbine and Oyster Gray. Definitely check out their site and blog for all your colour needs.
Beautiful infographics designed by Density Design—I could stare at this for hours. See it all here.
