COLOURlovers is one of my favorite sites to scope out the most current color trends and I just discovered that they have a blog! The blog covers daily trends, new products and inspiration like Pantone’s Fall 2010 Fashion color report shown below (complete article here.) I’m in love with Lagoon, Woodbine and Oyster Gray. A beautiful self-promotion piece by Kanella. The piece consists of four handcrafted embossed and woven cards that reveal a secret message “Design is the Key to the Path towards the Sun.” The whole project is based on the story of Ariadne (read story here) and her thread which has been adapted and now it focuses on the importance of good taste. I love the combination of textures and techniques that these cards use; so simple and so lush at the same time. Makes me want to experiment using some embroidered techniques for my own card designs.
